Antique Glass Christmas Ornament German Santa, Small Santa Ornament, Belsnickel Santa Collectibles

Very sweet small antique German mercury glass Santa ornament, circa 1920s. It features nicely molded details the Germans are known for. He stands in the classic pose with his hands in his sleeves and a slightly lobed bottom.

It measures 2.5 inches tall and is in excellent antique condition free of chips or cracks. The silvering is still very strong with minimal paint loss. It is topped with its original Lauscha style metal cap. Some cotton string is still attachd which was its hanging loop, long before the modern metal ornament hook! Always a nice bonus on these antique ornaments.

This wonderful glass Santa will make a nice addition to any figural ornament collection, a nice gift for the Santa collector!
