Antique Glass Ornament Germany Unsilvered Cottage House Christmas Ornament 1920s
Wonderful very early German unsilvered Christmas ornament, a hard to find glass lantern (or sometimes referred to as a cottage or guard house). Circa 1900s-1920s.
It is nicely molded with scalloped shingles, embossed swags, corner stones, and bottom brickwork. The windows feature hand painted light gold accents. It retains its original unmarked Lauscha style metal cap.
This wonderful antique unsilvered blown glass ornament measures 2.5 inches tall to the top of the cap and about 1.25 inches wide. It is in excellent condition free of chips or cracks.
What a fabulous addition to any antique German or unsilvered tinsel ornament collection!
