Antique Large Broad Shoulder Santa Glass Christmas Ornament, Father Christmas Figural Glass Ornament

Hard to find large size antique German blown glass Santa ornament with unique molded details, circa 1920s-1930s. Includes a rare bonus, an original 5 cents store pricing sticker!

This is called Broad Shouldered Santa, or sometimes Chubby Santa, in ornament identification books and he is quit rare. He has a wide body and stands in the classic pose with his hands in his sleeves. His face is nicely molded with a big bushy beard and wide mustache. The coat collar, cuffs, and silver body all have a nice bumpy texture. It has a beautiful luster and a rounded lobed bottom. The red cap forms the pike. An amazing wonderful bonus appears on the bottom lobe of the ornament. An original paper pricing sticker is still attached from this early era. It reads, “The May Co. 5 cents”. These are always a fun find on these antique treasures, a real bonus!

It measures 4 inches tall and is 2 inches wide. It is in excellent antique condition free of chips or cracks. It retains its original Lauscha style metal cap. There is a bit of minor paint loss.
