Antique Metal Candle Holders Lot, 3 Extended Christmas Tree E Candleholders with Period Candles

Three antique Victorian extended metal candle holders for the early Christmas tree, patented in 1904. PLUS, three authentic period candles are included!

These are early candle holders and have a unique design that was considered safer than traditional methods of displaying lit candles on a Christmas tree. Their unique shape allowed the candle to be extended beyond the branches, keeping the flame away from flammable pine needles. The clever design is made of one continuous piece of punched metal, with a flower-petal shaped end turned up to become the candle cup. They measure 5 inches long and hold a small candle. There is one each of red, blue, and silver. They show age related oxidation but no candle residue. The candles measure 3.75 inches long and retain their original, unburned cotton wick. There is one pink, one yellow, and one more of a peach color. One side is a bit flat, likely from storage over many years. The peach candle has small bits of oxidation or soil on it.

This is an authentic trio of early 1900s extended Christmas candle holders with period candles, meant only for display and never to be burned on an actual Christmas tree. Perfect for a turn of the century Victorian Christmas tree display!
