1900s Antique Paper Tinsel Ornament Germany, Elf Gnome in Small Tinsel Oval Christmas Ornament

Fabulous antique tinsel and paper scrap ornament with a highly detailed German gnome! Circa early 1900s.

This is a hard to find gnome or elf image, featuring high quality litho printing that the Germans are known for. There is so much fine detail to his face and costume. He’s carrying a cane in one hand, and a large gift box over his shoulder. He wears a pointed cap and sports a long classic white beard. The paper litho is framed in a silver tinsel oval with an original wire hanging loop to finish this special ornament.

It measures 2.5 inches tall and is in excellent antique condition. The colors are vibrant and crisp, the paper scrap free of scratches or tears. The lead tinsel is still bright and sparkly. What a fabulous early antique tinsel scrap Christmas ornament, so rare to find a gnome image!
