Vintage Beaded Christmas Ornament Japan Geisha, MCM Handmade Doll Safety Pin Art

Sweet mid century beaded safety pin art doll, a pretty Geisha in elaborate costume, circa 1970s.

Multiple large safety pins create the frame for this wonderful red Geisha costume, with its full skirt and large sleeves held out to the sides. Red beads alternate with clear ones to create a contrasting design. Large clear faceted beads create the hands a the end of the sleeves. The head is a large wood bead featuring a wonderful hand painted face, topped with multipl black beads for the classic hair bun. A texture gold sash finishes off this lovely ornament, from which a ornament hook can be attached.

It measures 3 inches and is in excellent vintage condition completely intact and free of missing beads, gaps, or wear. She’s so much fun, made with love and fine craftsmanship!
