Vegetables Glass Christmas Ornament Lot, 4 West Germany Jumbo Figural Glass Ornaments

Excellent set of four extra large vintage German glass vegetable Christmas ornaments, mid century.

They are nicely molded with bright colors and are jumbo size:

– 5″ gold ear of corn with green leaf bracts
– 4.75″ gold banana
– 4.25″ light green lucky pickle
– 3.25″ ripe red tomato with green bract

All are in mint condition free of chips, cracks, or wear. Each is topped with an original fancy gold cap marked West Germany. What a fabulous set of jumbo food ornaments for the Christmas tree, nice to display in a bowl too!

SIDE NOTE: Items imported from Germany were required to be marked “West Germany” from 1949 to 1990 when German reunification took place. This cap mark helps to date this ornament. The style, colors, and condition point to the latter part of this time frame, circa 1980s.
