Jumbo Glass Fluted Teardrop Christmas Ornament Germany, Large Ice Cream Cone Ornament 1930s

Elegant antique German fluted glass cone tear drop ornament in a rare jumbo size with squiggles! Circa 1930s.

What a delightful early blown glass Christmas ornament! It is a large size at 5.25 inches tall to the top of the cap and 2.25 inches at its widest point. The bright silver ornament features vertical fluted indents with a rounded red upper top which is decorated with hand painted white squiggles, indicative of this era. A couple of pink stripes are painted along two of the fluted edges. So pretty!

The glass is very thin and fine, typical of these early German ornaments. It comes to a lobed point at the bottom and is topped with an original unmarked Lauscha style metal cap. It is in excellent antique condition, showing just a bit of minimum age related wear. Our photos show all sides.
