MCM Christmas Advent Calendar Unused Tri-Fold, Large 3 Panel Children’s Count Down Calendar
Delightful large mid century tri-fold advent calendar, featuring an early Colonial scene with Santa and his sleigh flying by! Please view the detail photos to see all that is going on in this fun, three panel glittered Christmas decoration. Unopened doors, circa 1970s.
The wonderful wintry scene features a snowy village landscape with an icy pond to skate on and a decorated Christmas tree! Villagers walk about with Christmas gifts to bring. The steepled church is prominent in the background while a silhouete of Santa and his reindeer fills the night sky as a full moon rises!
Sparkling glitter accents are scattered throughout on all panels. So beautiful! When closed it measures 11.5 inches wide by 8.25 inches. When opened and flat, it measures 23 inches wide. Wow!
t is in excellent condition, the doors having never been opened. All of the doors are present and fit tightly. We have no idea what delightful surprises will appear behind the doors, but we know they will be fun! There are no marks, tears, or stains. The color lithography is vibrant and crisp with no fading. The silver glitter is sparkly which helps to date this. (Glitter was originally made of ground glass which faded to gray. In the later 1970s, it began being made with shiny plastic which keeps its shine and glow.) The back side has just a tiny bit of minor foxing here and there.
This wintry vintage tri-fold is so unique, a must-have for any advent calendar or mid century Christmas collector!
