RARE Antique German Unsilvered Glass Christmas Ornament Santa with Tree and Backpack
This is a very hard to find uncommon German Santa in fabulous condition! Circa 1920s-1930s.
The Santa carrying a tree ornament is the classic one seen so often, and the other more common version shows Santa holding his toy sack. This ornament features both and is quite rare. He is simply wonderful, full of nicely molded details. His blown glass body features lacquer paint over an unsilvered body.
He wears his red suit and has molded gold boots. He holds the Christmas tree under his right arm and carries his big red sack over his left which rests behind his back. He measures 4.5 inches tall and 2 inches wide and is topped with an original Lauscha style metal cap. This fine ornament is in excellent antique condition free of chips or cracks with minimal paint loss. Our photos show all sides of this amazing ornament.
What a wonderful antique blown glass Santa Belsnickle Christmas ornament. A must have for any antique German or figural Christmas ornament collection. A thoughtful gift for the Santa collector!
