RESERVED 1900s Antique German Christmas Ornament Nuremberg Metal Toy Horn, Bugle Musical Ornament, RARE

Wonderful hard to find antique German metal trumpet horn ornament, circa early 1900s.

This was produce in the area of Nuremberg, Germany well known for its toy industry and was an extremely popular ornament in its day so long ago!

This is a striking large metal toy bugle horn ornament measuring 4 inches wide. Early German toys were often used as Christmas ornaments for the tree during Victorian times. This one has nice details in the rounded mouthpiece and large open end. The handle is a flat metal strip attached on the side. It was once a bright red and blue horn, the paint having faded over the century with some paint still visible. The original wire cord hanging loop is still attached, always a nice bonus on these antique ornaments which pre-date the modern metal ornament hook. Our photos show all sides of this wonderful ornament.

This is a very rare antique horn Christmas ornament to add to your collection, well over 100 years old. Glass horns are more common, the metal ones from Nuremberg very special. Makes a thoughtful gift for the musician in your life!
