RESERVED Antique Bird with Berry Glass Wire Wrapped Clip On Christmas Ornament

Very early antique blown glass bird with berry Christmas clip ornament, in fabulous condition. It is a rare wire wrapped bird, complete with the original composition berry. Circa early 1900s, Germany.

It is a pretty silvery gold color with a black cap and beak. The berry is attached with wire and the tail is composed of grassy tuchsheer for feathers. It measures 4.5 inches wide from the beak tip to the tail end, the glass body being 3 inches. It is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks, or breaks. The wrap is intact and mostly tight. There is some usual oxidation at the tail end.
