Steinbach Circus Clown Wood Christmas Ornament with Original Box, Handmade German

Wonderful hand crafted German Erzegebirge hanging wood ornament, a circus juggling clown in its original box, circa 1980s.

Steinbach is known for their quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. This little guy is adorable with his tall red cap, hand painted with white hearts. White fluffy hair peeks out from under the cap. He holds a juggling toy in each hand. (These often go missing over the years.) The long red cord hanging loop has a blue wood ball attached, as well as the original paper Steinbach tag which reads, “Steinbach Pralent Handmade in Germany, Hohenhameln, Marienberg”.

He measures 3.5 inches tall to the top of the hat; the cord loop hangs beyond that. He is in mint condition with his original box. There is some price sticker residue on the front of the box as shown in the detail photos.

This is a fun retired Steinbach wood Christmas ornament, sure to delight any Steinbach collector or lover of fine German Christmas ornaments.
