Vintage Glass Christmas Ornament Lucky Mushroom Germany, Free Blown Glass Mushroom

Wonderful German unsilvered mushroom Christmas ornament, circa 1950s.

This is a classic lucky mushroom figural glass ornament, featuring fine German craftsmanship. It has a long white stem which is not silvered inside, so it really looks like a mushroom growing in the forest. It is hand painted bright red with the white spots of the classic German mushroom, “Amanita muscaria”. This mushroom in Germany and most of Europe is considered a good luck charm, or “Glücksbringer”, (Good Luck bringer.)

It measures 2.5 inches tall to the top of the original unmarked metal cap and is in excellent condition free of chips or cracks.
