Vintage Glass Clown Christmas Ornament, West Germany Figural Circus Clown Mercury Glass Ornament

Shiny and sparkly mid century blown glass circus clown Christmas ornament, circa 1980s West Germany.

The silver glass is gleaming and nicely molded with his hands in his pockets, a ruffled gold collar, and two floral buttons going down the middle of his big belly. He wears a red hat and boots and is finished with a hand painted face featuring blue eyes!

It is topped with the original fancy metal cap which is marked West Germany. (West Germany dates from 1949 to 1990.). He measures 4 inches tall to the top of the cap and is in excellent condition free if chips, paint loss or wear. (The back side photo looks yellow at the top, but that is merely a room reflection. The ornament is silver.)

He is so bright and cheery, a great addition to any vintage ornament collection, a thoughtful gift for the clown collector!
