Vintage Glass Christmas Ornament Green Pine Cone USA Corning

Hard to find early Corning glass pine cone Christmas ornament in wonderful condition. Circa 1930s.

It is painted a lovely green lacquer over deeply molded pine ribs. It retains the original very early smooth metal cap which reads “Made in U.S. of A.” . This imprinted text which includes the word “of” helps to date this to the 1930s. Caps after that were simplified without it.

It measures 2.75 inches tall to the top of the cap and is in excellent vintage condition free of chips or cracks. There is some usual age related oxidation on the cap and some of the silvering is showing through on the pine ribs creating a soft shiny look!

This is a fabulous very early Corning Glass Christmas ornament, in a harder to find pine cone shape. A great addition to any USA ornament collection!
