Vintage Heidt Wreath Christmas Ornament, USA American Bumpy Indent Glass Ornament, 1930s

Striking silver and pink Heidt bumpy floral indent glass Christmas ornament in fabulous condition. American made ornament, circa mid-1930s by the German ornament maker Heidt!

This ornament has a unique history. Many German ornament makers fled Germany during the war, and a man named Heidt arrived in New York and created his ornament company there. This is one such classic ornament that he created.

This deeply embossed blown glass ornament is so beautiful with a complex multi-layered series of bright pink radial patterns in the center framed by a bumpy silver border. The back features a beautiful radial floral design.

It measures 2.5 inches wide. The pike is intact and is topped with an unmarked metal cap (similar to the Premier caps). It is in excellent vintage condition free of chips or cracks or oxidation.

This is a hard to find early USA glass Christmas ornament, a great addition to any American ornament collection. A must have for the rare Heidt collector!
