Vintage Krampus Tinsel Double Christmas Ornament, Czech Beaded Scrap Ornament

Handsome and fierce vintage Czech Christmas ornament, a tinsel and glass bead star featuring a scary German Krampus paper scrap on each side! Circa 1940s.

This is such a dramatic and striking hand crafted ornament and it is in mint condition. Gold tinsel wire forms the star with five rays. Each ray is filled with embossed gold glass beads framed with three clear seed beads on each side. A fluffy silver tinsel spray in the center holds a full color litho scrap Krampus head, different on both sides. One side shows him with his evil smile, the other shows a screaming angry Krampus. There is so much fine detail to these paper scraps which the Germans are known for.

One long gold tube bead with wire acts as the hanging loop at the top. It measures 3.5 inches wide and tall, not counting the hanging bead. It is in excellent antique condition on both sides, the tinsel shiny and bright with the Krampus scraps still crisp and free of creases or tears. Fabulous!
