Vintage Large Flesh Face Santa Head Glass Christmas Ornament Paper Decal Eyes 1960s

Wonderful harder to find vintage jumbo flesh face Santa Head ornament with white mica trim, mid century.

He is simply wonderful, featuring deeply molded and expressive features. He has a flesh face, hand painted lacquer with highly detailed paper decal eyes which look off to the side. Quite rare! His mouth peeks out of a long white fluffy beard. He wears a bright red cap lined with a thick band of sparkly white mica.

The entire ornament is blown silvered glass with the matte lacquers painted over. The red cap retains the shiny mercury glass look. It measures 4.75 inches tall to the top of the marked Made in Austria cap. It is in excellent condition free of chips or cracks. The mica is still thick and intact and has a hint of glitter for extra shine! There is just a bit of minor paint loss and one small piece of the right paper eye missing. There appears to be a few flecks of gray paint dots here and there on the back and sides.

This is a superb vintage figural glass Santa Head ornament. It will make a great addition to any collection, a wonderful gift for the Santa collector!
