Vintage Large Santa Head Glass Ornament, Father Christmas German Christmas Ornament

Excellent, hard to find vintage jumbo glass Weihnachtsmann Santa Head ornament with white mica trim, mid century West Germany.

He is simply wonderful, featuring deeply molded and expressive features. He has a flesh face, hand painted lacquer with highly detailed paper decal eyes. Quite rare! He has rosy cheeks, nose and mouth which peeks out of a long white beard. He wears a red cap with a thick bumpy white mica band.

This fine vintage blown glass Santa Head Father Christmas ornament measures 4.5 inches tall to the top of the marked West Germany cap. It is in excellent condition free of chips or cracks. There is a bit of minor paint loss.

This is a superb, rare vintage German figural glass ornament. It will make a great addition to any collection, a wonderful gift for the Santa collector!
