Vintage Santa Head Glass Ornament, Father Christmas Santa German Christmas Ornament

Wonderful vintage glass silvered Santa Head ornament with thick white mica trim, 1960s West Germany.

He is simply wonderful, featuring the deeply molded and expressive features of a stern Father Christmas. He has a bright silver face with hand painted green eyes and unique curly eyebrows, framed with a fluffy white mica beard and long moustache. He wears a red cap lined with a thick white mica headband. There is a small pontil on the lobed bottom, indicative of a mouth blown ornament.

It measures 3.25 inches tall to the top of the cap and is in very good condition with minimum wear or paint loss. The pike is chipped under the replaced metal cap.

This is a classic vintage German figural glass ornament. It will make a great addition to any collection, a wonderful gift for the Santa collector!
