Vintage Santa Head Glass Ornament Paper Eyes, Nast Santa German Christmas Ornament

Excellent, harder to find vintage glass silvered Santa Head ornament with blue paper eyes and white mica trim, mid century West Germany.

He is simply wonderful, featuring deeply molded and expressive features similar to the Nast Style Santa. He has a bright silver face with highly detailed paper decal eyes that are looking to the side for a unique appearance. Quite rare! He has a rosy mouth which peeks out of a fluffy white mica beard and moustache. He wears a red cap lined with a thick white mica headband. There is a small pontil on the lobed bottom, indicative of a mouth blown ornament.

It measures 3.25 inches tall to the top of the marked West Germany cap. It is in excellent condition free of chips or cracks with minimum paint loss. Near mint!

This is a superb vintage German figural glass ornament. It will make a great addition to any collection, a wonderful gift for the Santa collector!
