Vintage Spun Cotton Christmas Ornament Little Girl Holding Brush Tree Figural Ornament

A beautiful antique spun cotton ornament, featuring a sweet little girl holding a green brush tree. Love those big blue eyes!

Her long white winter coat is made of cotton batting and it has fun little red polka dots painted on here and there. The face is hand sculpted and hand painted composition. It is framed with a pointed white hood which has a cotton hanging loop on the end, plus a second cotton stringer. It’s so nice to have these old period embellishments, a part of its history! The arms are bent to hold the brush tree. Her boots are black spun cotton wrapped around a stiff frame, likely wire. There are still a few sprinkles of sparkly venetian dew glass which acts as snow flakes. Wonderful!

This vintage figural girl ornament measures 4 inches tall and is in excellent antique condition. There is some light aging toning of the cotton but otherwise perfect. What a lovely addition to your antique Christmas ornament collection, a thoughtful gift for someone special!
