Vintage Wire Wrapped Triple Indent Tree Topper Germany, Mercury Glass Tree Top

Lovely German triple indent glass tree topper with elaborate wire wrap decoration, circa 1950s.

This is a stunning vintage mercury glass Christmas tree top, a bit rare with this style of decoration. The large round bright magenta-pink sphere features hand painted white floral sprays which frame the three sparkling deep indents. It is covered in curly crinkle wire. There is a ring of glass beads between the sphere and the fluted silver spire. Curly gold tinsel arms frame each indent. The silver spire has a few washes of magenta and it graduates to a fine point. Our photos show all sides of this amazing glass topper turning clockwise.

It is a large size measuring 10 inches tall. It is so sparkly and is in excellent antique condition free of chips or cracks, just a bit of minor paint loss. The wire wrap is still tight after all of these years!

This is such a striking glass tree topper. It will make a dramatic display at the top of the Christmas tree. Gorgeous!
