Vintage Glass Bird Ornament Clip On Multi Color Songbird Christmas Ornament 1950s

Wonderful vintage German mercury glass clip on bird Christmas ornament, circa 1940s-1950s.

The bird is highly detailed with nicely molded feather and wing details. It is a stunning bright silver with red wings and a pointed red beak. A nice splash of green is on the head for added interest. The tail feathers are the original spun glass. It measures 5 inches wide, beak tip to tail end. The blown glass body is 3 inches. The spring leg is attached to a replaced metal clip. It is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks, or breaks. There is some old glue residue visible on the tail, with the usual oxidation on the pike end.
