War Era Unsilvered Striped Paper Cap Christmas Ornament Multi Color Corning 1940s

Excellent war era striped Corning USA unsilvered glass ornament with a rare paper ring cap. American made, circa 1940s.

It is clear with four pastel stripes that wrap around the form. The stiff paper cardboard ring cap features a rectangular bottom that folds inside to keep it secure. It retains its original smooth US of A metal cap which helps to date this. It measures 2.25 inches wide is in excellent antique condition free of chips or cracks, the color very bright. The cap is complete, sturdy, and unbent. Fabulous!
