Vintage Shiny Brite Japanese Lantern Glass Ornament Beehive Christmas Ornament

Lovely vintage Shiny Brite lantern Christmas ornament, featuring the classic lobed Oriental shape in pretty pink!

This is a wonderful Shiny Brite glass lantern ornament in excellent vintage condition. It is fashioned after the Japanese paper Gifu lanterns and is sometimes referred to as a beehive design. It is a bright pink color and features concentric ribbed circles that wrap around the form from top to bottom. It tapers down to a rounded finial at the bottom and is finished with the classic metal ribbed cap and loop which reads, “Shiny Brite Made in U.S.A.”

It measures 2.5 inches tall to the top of the cap and is in excellent mint vintage condition free of chips, cracks, or paint loss.

These early vintage Japanese Gifu lantern ornaments are a must-have for the Shiny Brite collector! (These are also often referred to as Chinese lantern ornaments.)
