Vintage Blown Glass Bird Ornament Clip On Gold Songbird Feather Tree Ornament 1930s

Sweet small vintage German clip songbird Christmas ornament with a bright orange beak! Circa later 1930s.

The bird features finely molded feather and wing details. It is a pale gold over a silvered body and is finished with black dot eyes. The tail feathers are spun glass.

It measures 4 inches wide, beak tip to tail end. The blown glass body is 3 inches wide. The spun glass tail and spring leg are intact, attached firmly to the original metal clip. It is in very good vintage condition with some age related wear. The pike end where the tail joins has a faint crack underneath, not visible on display. The tail has been replaced over the years.
