Vintage German Paper Mache Red Coat Santa Father Christmas Belsnickel Large Ornament

Striking antique paper mache Father Christmas Santa ornament with wonderful details, circa 1950s.

He stands in the classic pose with his hands held in front, holding a wood staff and a bag over his arm. His face is wonderfully molded with a big bushy beard, rosy cheeks, and expressive kind eyes. His coat cuffs are trimmed in white and he wears black boots. The ornament features a bit of light gold glitter dusting here and there as a lovely accent. It is topped with a gold tube bead for hanging. It is a large size measuring 5 inches tall and is in excellent antique condition free of wear or damage.

This classic antique figural ornament will make a nice addition to any Santa Father Christmas collection or display, a nice gift for the Santa collector!
